After having fun with Guitar Hero and recognizing it's just four buttons and a switch, I decided to learn how to play real guitar. My first efforts were using self instruction and basic books. Although I learned some simple songs I was not satisfied with my progress and sought out a professional instructor.

Pete Cocolla was recommended by a friend and I have been extremely pleased with my progress in the past 6 months. He has provided me with a structured approach that has resulted in improving my playing. In addition to the normal lessons, he provides additional insight and tips on how to get the most from playing.

Now my practice time is productive because it is based on Pete's sound techniques. The progress has been noticeable although my dog still chooses to leave the room.
